Chicken Blood
Jairo, who at the age of 21 struggles to raise three children in the slums of Caracas, has had a hard time leaving behind the street life to be a father. Several months after this picture was taken, Jairo was forced to leave his children and relocate to another neighborhood after receiving death threats. Here he drinks the blood from a chicken killed to make a Sunday meal for the neighborhood.
